HTC has launched a new 4G LTE smartphone, the Desire 510. The company says the all new Desire 510 is the company's most affordable smartphone in HTC's Desire lineup to support 4G LTE.
The Desire 510, the successor to the budget Desire 500 launched last year, will be rolled out with mobile carriers and retailers in Europe and Asia, while will be also available with select carriers in the US. HTC, as of now, has not revealed any price details for the Desire 510, or dates of availability.
HTC Desire 510 runs Android 4.4 KitKat with the company's proprietary HTC Sense UI with BlinkFeed, Zoe and other features. The new Desire smartphone from HTC features a 4.7-inch (480x854 pixels) FWVGA display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor (with 64-bit support) that's coupled with an Adreno 360 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
It comes with 8GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). The HTC Desire 510 features a 5-megapixel rear camera without flash, and also includes a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
Apart from 4G LTE support, the Desire 510 includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Glonass, 3.5mm audio jack, and GPRS/ EDGE connectivity options. It is backed by a 2100 mAh battery, that is rated to deliver 17 hours of talk time and 646 hours of standby time on 3G network. The Desire 510 will be available in Terra White and Meridian Grey colours. The company notes that the smartphone sports a polycarbonate chassis and also supports HTC's Dot View case.

Commenting on the launch, Peter Chou, CEO, HTC Corporation said, "The industry has been talking about the 4G effect for so long now that it's easy to forget that only a small selection of top-end devices are taking advantage of the technology. Owning the latest and greatest technology shouldn't be reserved for those with the highest budgets. People today should expect their smartphones to double as mobile entertainment hubs. This means ensuring that they're fully loaded with the latest movies, TV shows and albums, by taking advantage of the super-fast network speeds available. The HTC Desire 510 does this and more, making it the perfect mobile media device."

Xiaomi Redmi 1S: First Impressions

Xiaomi on Tuesday launched its Redmi 1S smartphone in the Indian market priced at Rs. 5,999. Just like the Mi 3, it will be available only through online flash sales starting September 2, with pre-registration for the first round starting at 6pm on August 26.
The company has promised that it will be able to offer more units of the Redmi 1S, which is good news considering the fact that the popular Mi 3 has received incredible response in each of the six flash sales held so far. Xiaomi will also offer a number of accessories such as flip cases, screen protectors, rear panels and covers on September 2, but these will remain available for purchase anytime.
The dual-SIM Xiaomi Redmi 1S was first announced for China in May, and the company stated in July that it would be coming to India priced at Rs. 6,999. It now seems that the company has managed to reduce this by Rs. 1,000 - Xiaomi has said this is not just an introductory offer and the price will not increase in future flash sales.
"The Redmi 1S is the first phone of the Redmi family made available in India. It offers the best quality and user experience and at a very affordable price point. The device offers a great 720p HD screen, an 8-megapixel camera that delivers superfine quality images, great battery life, and a range of software features as part of MIUI v5 that will make every Redmi 1S owner very happy," said Hugo Barra, Vice President, Xiaomi Global.
At first, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S feels premium and quite solid. Xiaomi is shipping the device in grey with a matte-finished rear panel, which is removable. The company will also be offering colourful replacement panels for the device, priced at Rs. 459 each.
The Redmi 1S is a bit large, with thick bezels around the 4.7-inch IPS screen. The three capacitive touch buttons sit below the screen. Overall, the design feels quite old-school but build quality appears to be very decent for the price.
Xiaomi has made some tweaks to the Redmi 1S for India. The Corning Gorilla Glass 2 has been replaced with AGC Dragontrail glass, which the company believes will serve the purpose better. We tried scratching the display with a scissor, and it turned out to be strong enough to withstand that much damage. Of course, repeated abuse will result in damage, but the phone should be able to survive regular usage.
The Redmi 1S sport an 8-megapixel primary camera along with an LED flash, and a 1.6-megapixel secondary front-facing camera. In our limited time with the device, we took a few images indoors using the rear camera, and they looked pretty good for a device priced under Rs. 6,000. The camera is also capable of recording 1080p videos. We will test the camera in much more detail when we conduct our full review. Overall, our first impressions of the 8-megapixel camera are above average, and it seems as though we might have a new winner in the sub-Rs. 6,000 segment.
The Redmi 1S runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with the custom MIUI v5 skin on top of it. Xiaomi has said that the device will be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI v6 closer to the end of this year. The company is also planning several India-centric themes which will be offered to customers later. Xiaomi is currently testing a PC tool with which which users will be able to make their own themes for MIUI.
The Redmi 1S packs a quad-core 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The 8GB of inbuilt storage (6.14GB user available) is expandable by up to 32GB using a microSD card. The power of this hardware appeared sufficient in our limited tests. Apps opened and closed swiftly, and the device didn't trouble us on the front.

So overall, very positive impressions of the new Xiaomi Redmi 1S.

Leaked iPhone 6 Quick Start Guide Tips Design, September 9 Launch: Report

While a number of reports had already been tipping a September 9 launch date for the next generation iPhone, a new leaked image of the iPhone 6's alleged quick start guide is said to reconfirm the launch date as well as the design of the phone.
The September 9 launch date that's been tipped again is in-line with previous leaks that pointed to a mid-September launch for the next iPhone 6 models. If true, the launch date would correspond to the second Tuesday of September, a day that Apple used to unveil the iPhone 5c (Review) and iPhone 5s last year.

The leaked image has been published by Nowhereelse.fr, who notably leaked iPhone 5s' quick start guide last year ahead of the official announcement, and which was spot-on. The site is claiming the leak iPhone 6 quick start guide is from a trusted and loyal source.
The leaked image of the alleged quick start guide shows the much-anticipated September 9 launch date on the screen with the handset's name as iPhone 6. The alleged quick start guide further corroborate what's has been widely expected based on earlier leaks. The leaked document again tips that the next iPhone would house the power button on the right panel of the device, instead on the top panel seen on current iPhone models.
However, the alleged quick start guide contradicting flurry of earlier leaks show a new design of the iPhone 6. The leaked document shows the alleged iPhone 6 sporting the same straight-edge industrial design, instead of curved edges, seen on the iPhone 4, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. MacRumors also points to some formatting errors on the leaked guide, further questioning its authenticity.
Other features that are seen on the leaked quick start guide that have previously been attributed to the iPhone 6 design are redesigned volume buttons on the left panel; Lightning connector at the bottom, and presence of Touch ID sensor on the home button.
In addition to the leaked quick start guide, Nowhereelse.fr citing the same Chinese supply chain source claims that the 128GB model is confirmed.
Last week, a leaked schematics yet again tipped that the upcoming iPhone might see the introduction of a new 128GB inbuilt storage variant. The alleged iPhone 6 is said to come launch in 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants.

Another report on Tuesday suggested possible screen resolutions for both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions to be 750x1334 pixels and 1242x2208 pixels, respectively. Additionally, iPhone 6 was said to not ship with the anticipated new Lightning Cable with reversible ports.

Motorola 'Shamu' Moto S, first Android Silver smartphone heading to Verizon?

Motorola and its upcoming devices have been making headlines over the last few weeks. A new smartphone that might be the first Android Silver device to launch has leaked.

When Google introduced the Nexus One in 2010, the company stepped into the smartphone hardware world, rather than just being the creator of the Android OS running on devices from Samsung, HTC, Motorola, and more.

The program was designed to allow Google to create what was marketed as a reference device for Android makers and developers. It shipped with the latest version of Android; the exact specs Google believed provided the best user experience intended with no carrier bloat ware or Android skin. It also came with the confidence of knowing the smartphone would receive regular Android updates whenever Google released them and the OTA (over the air) update would come right from Google and not carriers or manufacturers.

There have been rumors for a couple months that Google has been secretly working on a new series of devices called 'Android Silver.' It was initially reported that 'Android Silver' would signal the end of Nexus smartphones and tablets. Google quickly squashed that rumor.

"People just get excited by concepts and forget why we do things. Android Silver is not something that we are commenting on right now. People have been commenting about Nexus because there is something else and they think that means the end of Nexus. That is the totally wrong conclusion to make," said David Burke, Google's head of engineering for Android and the Nexus program.

Google has never publicly spoken about Android Silver, but many reports claim it will be a program similar to the current Google Play edition devices, which consist of high-end smartphones and tablets running stock Android sold directly through Google.

The first Android Silver smartphone may have just leaked. A new report and accompanying video from TK Tech News provides details on what is being described as the Motorola Shamu, Nexus 6, and Moto S. The tipster claims the device leaked to the site is a Verizon Shamu model. It supposedly is packing high-end specs, including a 2K display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 GPU (graphics processing unit),13-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. We recently reported that the Motorola Verizon Droid Turbo is also expected to ship with the same Android 420 GPU in this smartphone.

The tipster has also released a video showing off the screen protector that will reportedly ship with the smartphone. The image shows the smartphone's official name will be Moto S. That is where the 'Android Silver' branding comes into play. The handset's screen protector also confirms the Moto S will also feature front-facing stereo speakers, just like the Moto X + 1.

Mid-segment war : Old Companies vs New Companies

Yes! Today i want everyone to change their focus from high-end segment to mid-segment which is now becoming the most attractive segment specially in country like India and when i observe and see that maximum of us are the one who always like to buy the mobiles that has the cost around 10000 to 20000.
If we say that maximum audience is the one who basically go out for the mid-segment mobiles then we can expect more competition as compare to high-end mobiles. This segement attracts every mobile companies like Samsung, Nokia, LG, Micromax, Karbonn, Intex, Xiaomi, Micromax and Obi.

Let's play a cricket match between these mid-segement mobile companies.
On one hand we have companies like Samsung, LG, Nokia and on other hand we have companies like Micromax, Intex, Xiaomi and new entry Obi. Today, people are increasingly using their phones to do more than 'just talk. Consumers are definately looking for more features and enhanced experience in their mobile phone. So i will tellyou about the features that these companies are givingand on that basis we will decide that who will win this war.So let's talk about the features that Team A is giving i.e reputated companies like Samsung, Nokia are giving.
For that i have divided the segment into 2 categories. First is Rs 10000 to 15000 and second Rs 15000 to 20000.
Under first category phones i.e Rs 10000 to 15000 phones like Moto G, Sony experia M dual and L, Samsung galaxy core and Quattro, HTC desire 516, etc comes. When i go through the features of the above given mobiles, one thing i noticed, if you left out one or two mobile none of the company is giving more than 8GB internal memory and also processor what their mobile is giving is not more thanQuad core 1.2 Ghz. When we go through the camera part we that only Sony experia L is supporting 8MP else we see that 5MP is maximum what they are providing and mobile like Moto G is not providing external memory slot which is little bit disappointment for me.
When we go through 2nd world mobile company (that was the name given to these companies)like Micromax, Intex, Asus,Karbonn,Lenevo, Xiaomi, etc. Let's go through their features also each and every mobile produced by these companies have minimum internal memory of 8GB which goes upto 16GB easily with minimum processor of Octa core1.2 Ghz to 1.7Ghz and each one these company provide you with external memory slot also and some also provide hexa core withHD screen also.
So we can say on paper wise 2nd world companies win this first inning but when it comes to performance wise somehow we can say that team A has an upper hand because of their customer service. So here team A wins.

Now comes our second category i.e Rs15000 to 20000 segment which according to me is the toughest segment since our Team A gives us mobile like Samsung Grand, Samsung Grand 2, Sony experia M2 and HTC desire 700 and other side Team B gives us mobile like Canvas Knight, Gionee Elife S5.5, Asus Zenfone 6. Team A gives us 1 to 1.5GB ram with 1.2 to 1.4 Ghz and 8 MP camera on the other hand Team B gives us 2 Gb ram with 1.4 to 2 Ghz and 13 MP camera which straight forwardly shows Team B wins not only on-paper wise but performance wise also.

Result:
So after this hot n happening match between both the teams, the result is both teams get equal point. But i want to suggest you that if you are not happy with the services of A grade companies like Samsung , Sony, LG then you must give one opportunity to these company also. After all everybody has the right to have the best mobile under affordable budget.

Ten simple things you can do to get healthy and stay healthy

Everybody in this world wants to be healthy and fit and definately you also want the same but for that we need to have proper time which is not possible in today's world as for us competition, growth, high salary have become more important than our health.
I just want to draw your attention toward a famous quote that say “ Health is Wealth”. So if you are healthy, fit then you can achieve anything you want to.
So, if u want to restore your wealth then below given are the 10 simple things you can do to get healthy and stay healthy.

1.Eat a Healthy Breakfast
First step to make your body a healthy body is a healthy breakfast. Have some proper food so that you feel energetic rest day. It is a meal that provides the opportunity to eat a serving of whole grains, a digestible protein, and have a serving or two of fruit. Studies have shown, for example, that people can lower their cholesterol by eating breakfast. If you are trying to improve your diet and nutrition and stay healthy as you age, eat a good breakfast every day.

2.Drink Water
Second step to stay fit and healthy is drinking water. If you don't do this start doing this from today onwards.
Drinking water also help you in making your skin healthy. You should atleast have 8 to 10 glasses of water. While we get water in many foods we eat and beverages we drink, pure water is often the best form to ingest.A recent study surveyed peoples of various aches and pains, energy levels and sense of well-being. When they were instructed to drink 8 glasses of water a day and their symptoms were reevaluated, notable improvements were seen in improved energy levels, fewer aches and pains, and generally improved sense of health. So my friends start having water as it is not much expensive and good for health also.

3.Take a Good Quality Multivitamin/Mineral Supplement
Third step in making your body healthy is having good quality of multivitamin/mineral supplement. I am not saying to have that suppliment which increase your muscles and make you a body builder. A good quality supplement, in my opinion, contains higher levels of antioxidant vitamins and minerals. It also balances the minerals and vitamins.

4.Connect with Other People
By our very nature, we humans are social animals and onnecting with other people and forming bonds of communication nourish our emotional and spiritual health as much as a healthy diet nourishes our bodies. In this day and age, people can become increasingly cut off from others, leading to an increase in the prevalence of depression and feelings of isolation.Expressing our love and affection to our partners and loved ones on a regular basis promotes intimacy and opens our hearts.Becoming involved in neighborhood organizations and groups that share our common interests increases our connections with our neighbors and creates bonds with those in our community, growing our circle of friends.Make an effort to connect with others on a daily basis and I guarantee your happiness and sense of wellness will increase.

5.Express Your Emotions Appropriately
If you are holding in emotions or expressing them in inappropriate ways this basically leads to health imbalances which may also lead to illness, unable to express our positive and negative emotions in appropriate ways can be as preventive as exercising or eating a balanced diet. In our society, it takes awareness and careful choices of words as the expression of "negative" emotions such as anger or sadness which is often discouraged socially. Nonetheless, it is important to be in touch with our feelings and to express them in an authentic way and this our fourth step that leads to a healty life.

6.Eat Fruits and Vegetables
Fifth step to make your body and your life healthy is to have good amount of food and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables supply many nutrients that are important for your health and emphasize vegetables in your meals, and choose fruits for snacks or dessert. At lunch and dinner, aim for half of your plate being vegetables and I don't mean french fries! And always go for fresh vegetables because frozen one doesn't have fair amount of nutrients.

7.Spend at Least 30 Minutes Outdoors
Everyone knows that we need vitamin D to make our bones stong and for that we definately need calcium but
we should concentrate on what nature has given us. Yes!!! Sunlight . Do you know that it is very important for body, our bodies make Vitamin D when our skin is exposed to sunlight. There is strong evidence for a protective effect of Vitamin D on healthy bone density, muscle weakness, more than a dozen types of internal cancers, multiple sclerosis and Type 1 Diabetes. When we are outdoors we tend to be more active by walking, hiking, and enjoying other physical activities. Finally, by doing a brisk walk for 30 minutes outdoors every day you can accomplish several simple healthy tips at once!

8.Do something physically active
This is one of the common thing that we actually hear from everyone to who so ever we have ever asked that i want to be fit, what should i do to keep my self fit? The answer is always try to do some physical activity that will help you and study also says samething.Follow few steps to make your self fit.
  • Play
  • Walk 15 minutes away from your house and then return
  • Integrate little walks and activities into your daily routines
  • Be more active with your household
  • Participate in classes to improve your fitness
9.Take some quiet time for yourself
Sometime taking out some time for yourself could be useful for health. This quiet time is basically for doing yoga or meditation that will help you in finding inner peace, which is very essential for your body. Give atleast 10 to 15 minute to meditation and you will definately see the changes in you. It gives inner strength that also sometime helps you in the worst time of your life.

10.Keep regular sleep hours.
Insomnia and sleep problems are major complaints from people these days.Every night we see ads on TV for sleep aids. Clearly, the promotion of sleep aids is profitable for the pharmaceutical industry.Fortunately, there are many natural solutions that address the causes of insomnia and other sleep problems which have few if any side effects, are cost effective (or free), and can help improve overall health. One of the most effective behavioral remedies we've found is keeping a regular bed and wake time schedule.Make sure you allow 7 to 9 hours in bed nightly to get sufficient sleep and rest.

Follow these steps to make your body and your life healthy and fit and don't thank me for this because you are doing it for your health and fitness.

Homemade teeth whitening remedy

Previous day i had provided with you with technology information but today i will tell you some simple steps that would definately help you in whitening your teeth.

Everbody wants white teeth that look beautiful and basically enhance your beauty when you smile. So, i have one tip that would definately help you out in whitening your teeth.

STEPS-
  • Start with wiping your teeth with a cotton swab to get any excess saliva and plaque off your teeth.
  • Now let’s prepare the mixture. So we need Lemon juice made from a freshly squeezed lemon and Baking soda. In a small bowl, mix both ingredients till there is a slight bubble.
  • Gently coat your teeth with the mixture and leave it on for exactly 1 minute.
  • Rinse out with water and brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste normally. Brushing and rinsing in generally are extremely important and are major part of good oral hygiene. You should rinse with a little baking soda after each meal to prevent dark spots on your teeth!
  • Use this treatment in conjunction with good oral hygiene and diet once every 2-3 weeks. Don't use it frequently.
Advantege of baking soda : Chemicals in baking soda break down the discoloration of your teeth, instead of just bleaching it like many strips or gels do.

NOTE: Don’t leave the mixture longer than a minute or else acidity from the lemon and abrasiveness of the baking soda can erode your tooth enamel.

Snapchat, popular among teenage users, was not immediately available for comment outside regular business hours.

Meet Sharp's nearly bezel-less smartphone

Sharp which is basically known for making household goods like tv's, microwave, etc is now planning to lauch their own smartphone Aquos Crystal. Lets have a look.

The Japanese electronics firm has announced two new Aquos Crystal smartphones including one that could make its way stateside via Sprint. While the Aquos Crystal's name might sound sparkly, it has a 5-inch display with a so-so 1280 x 720 resolution.

The most impressive feature about the phone is its sharp and thin rectangular design with almost no bezel around the screen. Thinner bezels not only look better, they also make it easier to hold handsets with massive screens like the LG G3.

Low bar
Harman Kardon had a hand in designing the Aquos Crystal's sound processing technology. Previously the audio specialist helped tune a special edition HTC One M8 released exclusively for Sprint.

The phone otherwise is fairly unremarkable with middling specs starting with yesteryear's 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, which we've seen on other budget handsets like the Moto G.

It also has 1.5GB of RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat running on 8GB of internal storage. Camera-wise users won't find much to email to home about between its 8MP rear shooter or 1.2MP front-facing sensor.

Sprint to the finish
Speaking of Sprint, the yellow carrier is announcing something new tomorrow. There's no official confirmation yet, but The Verge theorizes it could be related to the Aquos Crystal.

Sprint's parent company, the Japanese telecomm SoftBank, will purportedly release the 5-inch handset on August 29.
SoftBank will also introduce a larger 5.5-inch Aquos Crystal X in Japan this December. As a slight step up from the Aquos Crystal, Sharp's model X will essentially be the company's phablet device complete with a 1080p screen, newer 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor and 13MP camera.

There's no word on if or when the Aquos Crystal X might come to the US, but it looks like yet another Asian smartphone maker is hoping to join the fray alongside Samsung, LG and lesser-knowns like Huawei.

5.5-inch iPhone to be called iPhone L: Report

According to the reports new 5.5 inch iPhone will be called iPhone L. Check out this report

Apple is expected to break from tradition and release two new phones with two different screen sizes this year. Multiple reports say Apple will release a 4.7-inch model as well as a 5.5-inch model.

When this happens, Apple will face a naming dilemma. Since the first iPhone rolled out, it's been pretty simple to name the iPhone. Here's how it's gone: iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

But, with iPhone 6 coming in two sizes, but supposedly otherwise similar specs, Apple has to come up with a way to differentiate.

With the iPad, Apple has iPad Air for the 9.7-inch model, and iPad mini for the 7.9-inch model. But the iPad Air name doesn't really sound right. And the iPhone Air sounds kind of goofy for a 5.5-inch iPhone.

So, what could Apple do? Well, there's a rumour from a Chinese site that Apple might call the 5.5-inch iPhone the iPhone 6L, with the L presumably standing for "Large." The 4.7-inch iPhone would just be the iPhone 6 in this scenario.

It's also a little goofy, but it's better than iPhone Air, which doesn't make any sense. The "Air" name comes from the MacBook Air, which is a super-light laptop. The iPhone is already plenty light, and odds are that the bigger iPhone won't be the lighter of the two, so it doesn't make any sense.

The iPhone 6L name comes from 9to5Mac, which spotted it at Asian site Apple Daily. Apple Daily won't load on our computer, but 9to5Mac's report doesn't seem to have an information on how Apple Daily came up with 6L. So, this is a thin rumor, treat it skeptically.

But, of all the naming conventions possible, the 6L makes the most sense.

Samsung Tablet S 8.4

Today, Ashutosh will be providing you with the review of latest Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. I myself, consider this as one of the beautiful, compact and powerful tablet introduced by Korean company Samsung. Why am i saying this because i have various reasons, lets have a look on its features.

Design and build quality
The Tab S may lack the metallic finish of the iPad, though nothing about the device looks or feels cheap. It sports a dimpled rubber back (previously spotted on Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone) which coupled with a metallic rim provides a comfortable grip and feels solid.
Tab S 8.4
At 125.6mm, the Tab S is narrower than the iPad mini in the portrait mode despite the larger screen, so it’s easier to use the tablet one handed. You can easily hold the device with one hand and type with the other as it’s also very thin and lightweight. The Tab S 8.4 is 37g lighter and 0.9mm thinner than the iPad mini.
Tab S Rear
Two buttons on the back cover to support docking of the tablet on a keyboard.
Fingerprint scanner
Each user can save up to three fingerprints.
Features
The Tab S lets you create multiple users for the device. You can also restrict what other users can see, plus a Kids Mode that provides fun, educational content for children. The fingerprint scanner is a handy way to quickly unlock the tablet or make PayPal payments. Each user can save up to three fingerprints. It’s mostly accurate, though you can type in an alternate password if it fails to detect your fingerprints. The tablet features the Magazine UX, which comes with the latest version of Samsung’s TouchWiz interface to provide content from various online magazines or email accounts in a tile-based format. Each tile gets updated in real-time and is also useful for gaining quick access to your mailbox, Hancom Office for working on office documents and the calendar app. Samsung has introduced SideSync, which transfers phone calls to your smartphone. However, the feature can currently be used only with the Galaxy S5.
Multiwindow
Multi window is one of the Tab S’s more usable features, which lets you work on two apps at a time. For example you can access the phonebook while writing an email or watch a video while reading the lyrics on the web browser.
Sim Slot
The SIM slot on our edition of the Tab S means you can use it as a primary phone.
Storage
The Tab S comes with 16GB of built-in storage, of which 10GB is available for use. You can boost the storage up to 128GB with an external micro SD card. The tablet is also available in the 32GB storage option.
Performance
The Tab S is one responsive device. It reacts to the slightest touch and switching between apps is extremely smooth.Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with four Krait 400 CPU cores and running at 2.3GHz. It’s a champ at handling everyday tasks such as watching videos and web browsing as well as intensive gaming and handling demanding apps.
To test how well the tablet can multitask, i used browsing for the web while keeping other processes such as an eBook download and a Dropbox photo upload running in the background, and the Tab S had no problems coping up. However, the speed and responsiveness are not always consistent. The tablet stutters when there are many apps updating in the background and there were instances when the screen would freeze for a few seconds if the battery was running low.
Everyday use
The 8.4-inch Galaxy Tab S is best for on-the-go reading, even though Samsung has positioned it as a tab for professional use. In the landscape mode, the keyboard covers half the screen, while in the portrait mode text appears too small to get work done quickly. For professional use, you might be better off with the 10.5-inch version.
The TouchWiz interface is simple and easy to get used to, whether you’re used to Samsung devices or not. You can add or remove home screens, create folders and disable or uninstall apps directly from the App Drawer.
The 8MP rear camera is underwhelming. It’s slow to capture shots, while pictures appear dim in well-lit conditions. Picture quality of the 2MP front-facing camera, however, came as a pleasant surprise. It works really well for video calls and self-shots. It has a ‘Beauty Face’ option which detects your face to make the skin look smoother and blurs out any spots.
Display
The display is the Tab S’s key strength. The 2560×1600 resolution Super AMOLED screen renders sharp images and text and holds up well in bright outdoors, while optimizing the tablet’s battery use. The Adapt Display adjusts the screen brightness according to how you’re using the tablet. For example, it automatically dims the screen in a dark room or increases the screen sharpness while watching photos and videos.
The screen is a big plus for reading and surfing the web on the Tab S. The screen is very pixel-dense, which means you can’t see the individual pixels even when you’ve zoomed way into the page.
Sound
Tablets are known for underwhelming speakers, but the Tab S tries to break this evil spell. It has stereo speakers on the top and bottom edges of the device that provide surprisingly fuller sound in comparison with some of Samsung’s older tabs.
Speech is clear and detailed enough for watching videos and listening to music. Unlike Samsung’s earlier tabs, speakers are on the edges rather than on the back, which keep you from accidentally blocking them with your hands. The Galaxy Tab S does not supply earphones, which is shame for a tablet this expensive.
Battery life
The Tab S showed mixed results with its battery performance. When in the Adaptive Display mode, it provided an impressive battery life of nearly nine hours of web browsing. In the basic mode, the battery life drops significantly, providing just a little more than six hours of web browsing. We recommend keeping the Adaptive Display switched on not just for the sharpness, but also for the battery optimization.

In short, we can say that this machine is poweful, beautiful and performace oriented andit's so sleek that it can be holded with one hand. And as we know the performance of the tablet depends upon the user that how he is using it . Under optimum condition this tablet performs well and give you the best result.
Hope so that u find this article much more informative and will definately help you if you are looking forward to buy this beautiful device.

Samsung Alpha Review

Samsung has long been lambasted for the build quality of its smartphones. The plastic covering which each handset received was a glaring fault when matched to the high end specs and wealth of features that phones like the Samsung Galaxy S5 delivered.

Finally Samsung is taking the hint and releasing a phone with a build worthy of its specs, so is this the perfect Samsung phone? Or has the company dropped the ball elsewhere? Read on to hear our first impressions.

Screen

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha’s screen is a mixed bag. It’s a 4.7 inch 720 x 1280 Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 312 pixels per inch. So it’s only 720p rather than full HD, which is a surprising move by Samsung as it instantly marks the Galaxy Alpha as not being a top end phone, since almost all high end handsets have 1080p displays or better.

Having said that, while it’s not quite as sharp as we’d like it’s actually not bad at all. At 312 pixels per inch it’s still fairly crisp and the use of Super AMOLED ensures that images are bright, vibrant and natural. There was a time when Super AMOLED used to mean oversaturated images, but Samsung has worked hard over the years to find a balance between vivid and true to life colours and it’s clearly paid off.

We also have to applaud the fact that this is a 4.7 inch screen, rather than a 5 inch or larger one. The smaller size makes the 720p resolution less of an issue, but it’s also a nice change to get a high end handset with a relatively compact display. It’s a decision which was likely made to make it more comparable to the iPhone 6, but whatever Samsung’s reasoning we approve.

Design

Samsung Galaxy Alpha Specifications

The real highlight of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is its design. For years Samsung has put faux-metallic bands around its phones but now for the first time it’s used an actual metal frame. You can tell the difference just by looking at it and it’s even more apparent when you actually hold the phone. Along with a slim 6.7mm thick build it makes the Galaxy Alpha the most premium and stylish smartphone Samsung has ever made.

And it's also very lightweight at just 115, which makes it significantly lighter than the Galaxy S5 (145g) and only slightly heavier than Apple's iPhone 5S (112g).

It’s not a total victory though as the Galaxy Alpha still doesn’t look quite as good as the iPhone 5S or the HTC One M8, mostly because it still has a plastic back. Still, it’s a giant leap in the right direction and bodes well for future Samsung phones.

Power

 Galaxy Alpha Black and Blue
There aren’t many octa-core phones available in the UK but the Samsung Galaxy Alpha ranks among them. Don’t get too excited though, as while it has eight cores it only actually uses four at any given time. So for demanding tasks it will use four 1.8GHz cores, while for less demanding things it will use its four 1.3GHz cores, in order to save battery.

In practice that all means that it’s not actually quite as fast as say the LG G3, or even the Samsung Galaxy S5, as despite having twice as many cores it doesn’t use them all at once and they’re clocked at a slower speed.

The Galaxy Alpha is still plenty powerful though and it has 2GB of RAM, so it’s not lacking there either. This isn’t quite the fastest phone around but it feels like a flagship and while some other phones are faster the differences are pretty small.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy Alpha Review Photo 3

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a good but not great camera. It has a 12 megapixel sensor, which is notably lower than the 16 megapixel one on the Samsung Galaxy S5 and indeed the actual performance of the camera doesn’t seem quite as good, but it can still take some above average photos by smartphone standards.

It impresses a little more for video, as it can shoot 2160p footage at 30fps and 1080p footage at 60fps and there’s an adequate 2.1 megapixel camera on the front, which feels slightly limiting in this selfie-crazed world, but is no worse than the front facing snapper on the Galaxy S5.

Features

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha inherits two of the Galaxy S5’s biggest features- its heart rate monitor and its fingerprint scanner and both of these help it stand out from the crowd. If you care about keeping track of and regulating your heart rate then the built in monitor will be a serious boon, though bear in mind that it’s not accurate enough to be used for medical purposes.

The fingerprint scanner is also useful as it can replace a password when unlocking your phone and even when making purchases. It can be a bit awkward to use and sometimes fails to read your print, but it’s still generally slightly faster than typing out a password.

Battery life, memory and connectivity

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has an 1860 mAh battery, which is on the small side for a phone of this power. The power efficient processor and the addition of an Ultra Power Saving Mode certainly help matters but it doesn’t seem like it’s going to have the best longevity around. Expect average to just above average performance.

Storage is an interesting one as every Samsung phone in recent memory has had a microSD card slot yet the Galaxy Alpha doesn’t. That’s presumably because of the metal frame, but then the all-metal HTC One M8 managed to work one in so you’d think Samsung could too. Thankfully it does at least have 32GB of storage built in, so there’s quite a lot of space to work with.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC, so it’s a well-equipped handset.

Early verdict

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha impresses in a lot of ways, thanks to a premium build, high end specs and a bunch of extra features, but it’s not quite the definitive Samsung smartphone. In fact all things considered we’d say it’s definitively worse than the Samsung Galaxy S5.

We wanted a metal clad S5, or maybe even something better, but what we got is smaller, less powerful, has a worse screen and other drawbacks, such as a smaller battery and no microSD card slot.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is still a great, high end phone and if you want a Samsung phone with a premium design or a smaller screen than the Galaxy S5 then this is a good choice, but it just makes us even more desperate for a true flagship with a premium design. Because Samsung has shown as all the pieces now, it just hasn’t put them together into one phone.
