Android's new version i.e
Android 5.0 Lollipop is now available and now with it's availability
comes the doubt whether this android will be available for other
devices or whether their mobile company will be providing OTA updates
or not? . So i have came up with the list of mobile companies with
respective mobile handset's that will be getting OTA Android 5.0
Lollipop update.
First company that will
be providing updates would definately be Google for their Nexus
Phones:
Google devices are
likely to get the latest update next month.
- Nexus 4
- Nexus 5
- Nexus 7 (1st and 2nd-gen)
- Nexus 10
- Google Play edition devices
Motorola devices will
get the update.
- Moto X (1st Gen. & 2nd Gen.)
- Moto G (1st Gen. & 2nd Gen.)
- Moto G with 4G LTE
- Moto E
- DROID Ultra
- DROID Maxx
- Droid Mini
Sony devices will
be getting the update early 2015 starting from Z3 and Z2 series of
devices.
- Xperia Z
- Xperia ZL
- Xperia ZR
- Xperia Tablet Z
- Xperia Z1
- Xperia Z1S
- Xperia Z Ultra
- Xperia Z1 Compact
- Xperia Z2
- Xperia Z2 Tablet
- Xperia Z3
- Xperia Z3v
- Xperia Z3 Compact
- Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact
HTC One Series will
be getting the update while users have to wait approx 90 days after
the release of final software.
- HTC One M7
- HTC One M8
- HTC One Mini
- HTC One Mini 2
When it comes to Samsung
devices, there is no disclosure as when it will be able to taste
the latest Lollipop update but it’s suspected that Galaxy S5 and
Note 4 will be getting the update first and then all other latest
Galaxy Tabs will get it.
LG also has not
specified as when the Lollipop update will roll out to their devices
but we can assume that LG G3 and G2 will definitely get it sooner
than later.
